Gospel Life Church is a replant/revitalization in Decatur, Texas. Pastor Joseph Wyatt began serving in January 2024 with a vision for the church to be a gospel-centered, Spirit-led family where people encounter Jesus in worship and everyday life. Their ministry is built around the image of the table; belonging, discipleship, and mission all flow from that place.

The church gathers on Sundays for worship and teaching, disciples through small groups and student ministries, and engages the community through partnerships that meet real needs. The congregation reflects the diversity of Decatur: a mix of young families, students, working professionals, and long-time locals. Gospel Life exists for those far from God, those hurt by religion, and all who long for a deeper walk with Jesus.

This fall, the church is hosting The Table Community Night, an open invitation for the city to come share a meal, find connection, and experience the welcome of Christ. Their heart is simple: to create space where neighbors become friends and strangers encounter the love of Jesus in a tangible way.

Prayer Requests:

• For Pastor Joseph’s Family – Pray for strength, unity, and spiritual growth in the Wyatt home. Ask God to give Joseph and Vanessa wisdom as they parent in different seasons, especially for Justin as he wrestles with faith and direction.

• For Church Finances – Pray for God’s provision as Gospel Life continues building. Some families have moved on, bringing financial strain. Ask the Lord to stir generosity, open new streams of provision, and remind the church that His work is never limited by resources.

• For Healthy Growth – Pray that God would draw new people into Gospel Life—those far from Him, those wounded by religion, and those longing for a deeper walk with Jesus. Ask that growth would be steady, Spirit-led, and marked by discipleship, not just attendance.

• For Ministry Partners – Pray that God would send a couple—bi-vocational, called, and committed—to come alongside the church in this season to help carry the weight of ministry while Pastor Joseph works a full-time job.

• For Endurance and Kingdom Impact – Pray that Pastor Joseph would lead with perseverance and joy, anchored in Jesus and not outcomes. Ask that Gospel Life’s presence in Decatur would be marked by hospitality, hope, and gospel clarity—and that from this foundation, God would expand influence both locally and globally.
