Pray for Unionville Church in Rochester, Pennsylvania

Unionville Church, located in Rochester, Pennsylvania, has a rich history of ministry that dates back to 1810. It began as a Methodist Society on the Shenango Circuit of the Methodist Episcopal Church. For over two centuries, this rural church has remained a steadfast presence in its region, situated just minutes from several small towns and growing suburban communities. About 30 years ago, the members of Unionville Church embraced a vision and built their current sanctuary and family life center. This investment continues to yield positive results, as their campus now serves as a gathering place for family events, church activities, and community gatherings.
Unionville’s Compassionate Ministries Food Pantry stands out as one of the church’s most impactful ministries. The church hosts this vital outreach, which receives support from six area churches and other community groups. Together, they continue to meet the needs of many in the region, demonstrating Christ’s love in practical ways.
Unionville Church is preparing for a significant pastoral transition. Rev. Alan J. Morrison, who has faithfully shepherded the congregation, will retire at the end of June 2025. On July 1st, Rev. Barry Henck will take on the role of pastoral leader. This period invites the congregation to reflect on Rev. Morrison’s ministry while they warmly welcome Rev. Henck.
