We Are Praying for Rock Village Church in Middleborough, Massachusetts
Rock Village Church, located in Middleborough, Massachusetts, has a rich legacy dating back to 1761 when ten believers, inspired by Pastor Isaac Backus, came together to form a Baptist church in the Rock Village neighborhood. Though it has remained a smaller congregation throughout much of its history, the church continues to faithfully serve its community with an average Sunday attendance of around 50.
The town of Middleborough is home to cranberry farmers, skilled laborers, and an increasing number of families relocating from the Boston area. Rock Village Church engages its congregation through a variety of ministries including Sunday worship, equipping classes, midweek gatherings, prayer meetings, men’s and women’s Bible studies, and special events such as their annual Family Camp.
In July, the church is hosting its Family Camp—a one-day event focused on family discipleship through worship, Bible teaching, and fellowship. Parents and children will both engage in age-appropriate gospel-centered lessons, with a goal of strengthening families in Christ. The church is also planning a marriage retreat in August to further encourage and equip couples.
Rock Village Church is pastored by Jeremy Ervin, who has been married to Shela for six and a half years. They have three children with baby #4 on the way!

- Pray the Lord blesses Rock Village Church’s upcoming Family Camp in July and marriage retreat in August.
- Pray for God to raise up more elders and deacons to serve and lead the church.
- Pray that God would continue to save sinners and that the church would grow in outreach and evangelism.
- Pray that the saints at Rock Village would continue to savor their sweet and wonderful Savior, Jesus.
- Pray for wisdom and open doors as the church considers opportunities in church planting, college outreach, and training men for gospel ministry.
